The M50 was a participant in the 1967 Six-Day War and placed as a reserve unit in 1973 for the Yom Kippur War. One of the biggest changes was up-converting the M-50, so it included a 75mm tank gun. The tank was used by Israel Defense Forces from the 1950s to the 1970s and was a modified variant of the American M4 Sherman tank. The M-50 is often called a Super Sherman.
